ALERT! La Salle Nuclear Plant Nearly Took Out Chicago !

UPDATE: 4/26/13 Failures continue at La Salle, NRC opens special investigation.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
UPDATE: We have been made aware of at least one UNCONFIRMED report of a radiation alarm occurring down wind of this incident. See this link
---------------------------------------------------------------------

Chicago almost became a glowing radioactive sister city to Fukushima.

Yesterday we broke the story  of  the La Salle Nuclear plant having to perform a Fukushima style direct-to-atmosphere venting of the primary nuclear containment  due to a lightening strike. As we indicated at the time, the amount of radioactivity released is unknown because the radiation monitors were not on a backup power supply.

Today in a follow on NRC event report, we find out that failures in the emergency cooling system resulted in the last ditch cooling attempt of directly venting the radioactive drywell to the atmosphere. The severity of those failures are underreported in the NRC event report, because it reads no different than if it the failures had been discovered during testing instead of being found out in the midst of a real life emergency resulting in the last ditch cooling effort of venting.

We explain the situation in more detail in the video, but gist of the analysis is as follows.

  1. Lightning took out power to both reactors.
  2. Backup generators kicked on, but powering everything would overload them
  3. The systems which measure how much radiation is being vented from the plant did not have power.
  4. The reactors lost cooling capability.
  5. Automatic emergency cooling kicked in.
  6. The automated emergency cooling on Unit 2 was failing.
  7. As a last ditch effort, Unit 2 primary containment was vented to the atmosphere.
  8. The venting cooled and dropped the pressure in Unit 2 enough to compensate for the failing cooling.
  9. The camel was down to its last failing straw and only fractured its back; had it broken, Chicago would be aglow.
  10. Radioactive contamination did occur.

  1. Thank God You are on top of this. Kudos

  2. Thank you for your excellent work, please let us know when your home is safe from the radiated rain leaks. Peace and God bless you and your family.

  3. I hear the "people" that work at LaSalle are really space aliens. They use their giant generators to pump positrons out of the ground. This causes these massive storms to be drawn to the area they use the cover of these storms to move their space ships in and out of orbit. If I were you I would not piss them off or they may send under ground beams that will damage your home and turn it radioactive. Then where would you be.

    1. Lol, I hear what really PO's them is when you misspell La Salle as one word instead of two. I suggest correcting; you don't want those aliens probing your misspelling do you?

  4. Please, do NOT insult my intelligence! I have lived in Illinois; there are constant threats of storms, lightening and tornados. They are prepared to handle storms, especially lightening strikes.
This is just another government op that didn't work out; unlike Fukushima.
How to create FEAR and TERROR in order to implement Martial Law across the states.
That is their dream, a part of the Agenda 21 plot.
    Wake up!

  5. I think the switchyard insulators were defective...they really had a short. They broke like they did in other plants in the winds of the thunderstorm...with it shorting.

  6. Wonderfully intelligent video...

But you don't get parts of this. Nuclear plant lines and switchyards get struck all the times by lighting. Most of the times they easily survive the strike and continue normal operation...infrequently a protective device trips the plant safely. They are never any damaged insulators through a lightening strike, never...

They are fraudulently casting the event as a lightening strike to make it sound like a "act of god". In the opening stages most people see these things in the media and make a judgment about it. They coached this with "we think it is lightening strike" knowing the public will assume it is lightening...they are fraudulently happyland shaping these stories in the minds of the public. They will come back later telling what really happened, when not many people will be caring about the story.

    1. That may well be, but we try to limit the analysis based on what is in the NRC event report.
Lightning strike or no, the NRC did activate its Incident Response Center and I think the last time they did that was for the earthquake at North Anna.

    3. Well, they did again for the Watts Bar shooting event yesterday...

If you only really knew how scimpy these event reports and Licence Events Reports are. Comic books are more accurate and realistic...truck drivers call their daily road logs comic books.

    4. At Watts Bar they have Exited Monitoring, but at La Salle it is still ongoing. That tells you something right there.

My GUESS is that the Watts Bar issue was nothing more than an attempt to obfuscate a guard's negligent discharge of his weapon. Janet Reno turned the TVA guards/ "police" into Federal agents with the same powers as the FBI. She basically tried to federalize every security guard at every federal facility, mostly because she realized that the Justice Department did not have enough manpower to handle another extended WACO / ATF incident.

    5. Yea, it always bothered me. The antis and the pronukers are very types of similar peoples. Most end up as government haters.

Let me tell you something about the mean streets of Boston...recent events have turned us all into government admirers.

      The USA is our heroes!

    6. Yep, and NRC special inspection was declared on April 26...

  7. Yea but, North Anna was a alert and LaSalle was a ue.

  8. Nobody really cares about this type of stuff until a complete disaster happens and they see their friends and family die.

  9. It's at that point everyone is all confused and asks, 'what happened?' 'How did this occur?' Then come the reports that authorities have over-looked these problems for decades and put profits ahead of safety. Eventually, they get a slap on the wrist, maybe a couple of billionaire's resign, people are buried, lawsuits settled, the event is forgotten about and it's back to business like usual until the next disaster.

  10. Who has their finger on the pulse of that place? Isn't it perfect that it rained and rained and rained and rained for days and days with a giant mass of storm clouds directly above this nuke moving nowhere but blowing at winds of up to 40mph and then just dissipating into thin air. Massive flooding ensued and washed anything and everything into the ground and down rivers rapidly. Dispersing and diluting any possibly trace of anything. Going green my a**! Geo Engineering? A mass overdose of it? Send in the Gov to assess and act like mother nature is a wreck less monster. Not at all mentioning big brother and his group of atmospheric god playing goons.
